Monique + Deb // Walkers Point Milwaukee Wedding // Happy Gnome Photography

I'll never forget the first time I sat down with Monique and Deb.  There was something about them.  They had such an ease with each other.  The way they talked about their relationship and their marriage it was clear to me that they were in it for the long haul.  And then about 45 minutes into our coffee's Deb looked and me and said "Now, you do see that we're two women, right?  And you're ok with that?"  The look that Monique gave her in that moment was classic.  Obviously Monique had contacted me because she knew that I embrace and celebrate every marriage.  My heart sings whenever two people find love!

Monique and Deb planned an amazing day celebrating not only their love for each other, but their love for family, food, the city they live in and music.  There was so much wonderful music!  We started out getting ready at the amazing Journeyman Hotel in the historic Third Ward.  If you haven't been to the newest Milwaukee Hotel, you need to check it out.  After a few stops for pictures, including the Summerfest grounds where Deb was able to sweet talk a security guard into letting us in for 90 seconds to take a photo in front of the giant instruments, we headed over to The Point in Walkers Point where Deb and Monique were joined by family and friends for a wonderful ceremony and reception.  Beautiful music, irish dancing, tiny ice cream cones and a food truck completed the evening.

In the year since that first meeting I am so happy that I have not only gotten to know these two wonderful women as clients but can now also call them friends.  Thank you both for allowing me to share in your amazing day!
